Preparing the Garden:  MARCH 30

Learn how to get the soil ready with some regenerative strategies, compost and garden prep. Turn an unnecessary grassy patch to a wonderful growing area.  (Appleton Field/Clapp Road)

 

Early Seeds:  APRIL 6th 

Come ready to sow seeds directly in the ground, learn about cool hardy crops and protection in these early, lovely days of Spring.  (Teak Sherman Community Garden Rte 3A and First Parish Rd)

 

Native Seedlings & Perennial Herbs:  APRIL 13

Help plant new Native seedlings and seeds and hardy perennial herbs in the newly constructed mixed-growing area. Learn about the benefits of growing Native seeds for our environment.  (Appleton Field/Clapp Road)

 

Planting and Transplanting:  APRIL 20

Let’s heel in some ready transplants and direct sow some seasonal seeds. This community space is eager to have a variety of plants that will yield great produce, vegetables and fruit.(New Garden Space at Scituate Senior Center, First Parish Road)
