Scratch Donuts & Muffins from The Coffee Shack
When the weather is blustery, start up the 4-wheel drive and look no further than the Coffee Shack. With some of the freshest homemade donuts and the most flavorful coffee on the South Shore, this is your temporary refuge against the elements.
Located on the corner of Careswell and Marginal Streets in the village of Green Harbor, you’ll find the Coffee Shack, serving hungry patrons since 1988.
As is typical, especially on a stormy day, there is likely to be a line—but no matter, it is well worth the wait. As you walk in, friendly faces greet you as your eyes wander to the scrumptious donuts—blueberry, lemon custard, Dutch crumb, German chocolate, classic honey dip, and cruller, just to name a few. Not feeling like donuts? Their various muffins are also made on-site, as are all their breakfast sandwiches—which, mind you, involve extra-large English muffins.
So, grab a freshly made hot coffee or, us being crazy New Englanders, an iced coffee (delicious any time of year), a baker’s dozen for the family, and maybe a muffin for that one picky eater.
But arrive early—these homemade treats sell out fast!
