If you’ve ever dreamed of running your own bakery and coffee shop, here’s your chance! Minutes down the road from the historic Plymouth waterfront, Sweets Coffee wants to give you the opportunity of a lifetime. For just a 250-word essay, $150, and a few postage stamps, you could win your very own bakery!
Maria Enemark, owner of Sweets Coffee, is ready to retire and pass her shop on to a deserving successor. She says she wants someone, “who has a true passion and talent for baking,” to take over her shop. If your essay convinces a panel of judges that you have the passion, business savvy, and guts to run a bakery, that someone could be you.
When asked why she is ready to pass on the shop, Maria notes, “I’ve loved every minute of the time I’ve had with Sweets—it has meant so much to me! But after all the hard work, it’s time to move forward into the next chapter of my life. I know not everyone has the capital to start a bakery from scratch, but I also know that there are tons of talented people who would succeed if they were just given the opportunity! I want to give one of those people that very opportunity.”
Whether you’re already selling baked goods directly from your own kitchen, or your dreams are filled with butter and cream, this could be your lucky break! A few well-chosen words and a small entry fee could make you the proud new owner of your very own bakery!
The contest winner will be decided by October 31, 2015 and will be picked by 3 anonymous impartial judges.
