Plymouth Public Library Foundation is excited to announce its inaugural Garden Tour, taking place on Thursday, July 20th from noon to 6 pm. This event is a celebration of local gardens and a chance for garden enthusiasts to explore six gardens that showcase how sustainable garden practices can be both beautiful and functional.

The Garden Tour is a self-guided tour, allowing participants to visit the gardens at their own pace. The Tour will feature a variety of private and public gardens throughout the town, each with its own distinct style and charm. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak with the gardeners and learn about their techniques, inspiration, and experiences.

“We are thrilled to be hosting the Garden Tour,” said Foundation Director, Anne Phelan. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and appreciate the beauty and diversity of our local gardens and celebrate the owner’s commitment to sustainability. We hope to inspire others to start or enhance their own gardens.”

Additionally, from noon to 4 pm at the Library, several environmental organizations and local garden businesses will have information and displays for visitors to enjoy. Guests will have the opportunity to learn flower-arranging techniques from the Plymouth Garden Clubs and take a chance at raffle items.

Tickets for the Garden Tour are $30 each and can be purchased at pplfdn.org/garden-tour/. Proceeds raised from the Garden Tour will support the Library’s Shiff Garden revitalization project. The Garden Tour is sponsored by several local businesses: Morrison’s Home and Garden, Williams Trading Post, and Fosters Creative Design.
