Elliot Farm in bucolic Lakeville is another community-focused business. Co-owner Deanna Elliot founded their sister nonprofit, Farm & Community Collaborative (F&CC) in 2018 to alleviate food insecurity by improving access to local farm-fresh produce for underserved populations within Southeastern Massachusetts. F&CC has three programs designed to provide resources such as food and jobs in underserved communities. Their 2024 program goals are: “Farm to Future,” offering 10 agricultural job opportunities; “Farm to Foodbank,” aiming to donate up to 10,000 pounds of fresh produce to their food bank partners; and “Farm to Family,” providing up to 500 farm shares to individuals and families in need.
The farm also maintains a farm stand from May through November, open seven days a week, where you can purchase local fresh fruits and vegetables, meats and dairy, baked goods, and more. They accept EBT (SNAP & HIP) and WIC and Senior Farmers’ Market Coupons.

This family-friendly event will feature live music, food trucks, a petting zoo, face painting, and much more. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this fun-filled day will be donated directly to F&CC. Visit ElliotFarm.org/HarvestFestival to learn more and purchase tickets in advance.
