Amy Thornton holds a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics. She’s a yoga teacher as well as a Master Usui Reiki Practitioner. For most of her life, Amy has been passionate about the body’s relationship with plants and how they can help us maintain a healthy lifestyle. In keeping with her passion for locally sourced and farm-to-table foods, she has created her own brand to help accomplish that.

Birchstone Apothecary is a skincare product line made with edible and locally sourced ingredients. YES, we said edible! Furthermore, Amy has helped us discover that her Beach Rose Hydrosol makes a fun alternative to mignonette on oysters. We highly recommend this delicious, floral coastal treat on your next batch of shucked oysters.
