Well, it’s that time of year again—Christmas lights adorn the town square, Jingle Bells has taken over the radio waves, and eggnog has become the rule. Don’t waste your time with big box store eggnog. Pick up some farm-fresh eggnog today to put you in the Christmas spirit.
Family-owned and operated since 1912, Hornstra Dairy Farm is one of the last dairy farms still operating on the South Shore. Along with its healthy cows and superior products, the dairy farm also runs a brick-and-mortar store selling its dairy offerings.
The store, located in Norwell, is a great place to visit with kids, and offers several types of fresh milk, cream, pies, ice cream, farm-fresh eggs, and several other offerings from other small businesses and local farms, based on seasonality.
Recently, Hornstra released one of its coveted crowd favorites—their Christmas eggnog, which is truly incredible, and better than anything you can get at the supermarket, which typically contains “shelf life” preservatives. Purchase some of this farm-fresh eggnog and try it by itself! It’s so fresh and tasty that it doesn’t need any additions. Though, for a holiday-inspired adult-strength beverage, add a bit of the locally-made Spiced Rum from Distillery 43, featured next!
