- Cranberry Sauce

- 1 cup rice wine
- 1 QT cranberries
- 2 T honey
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup tamari/soy
- 1 T 5 spice
- 1 cup xianxing wine/sherry
- ½ cup black vinegar
- Combine all ingredients in sauce pot. Bring to boil and reduce by over half. Should be thick enough to coat and cling to spoon.
- Hoisin

- ⅓ cup dark brown sugar
- 2 T water
- 3 T black bean sauce (such as Kee Kum Lee)
- 2 T tamari/soy
- 1 T rice wine vinegar
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (from above)
- ½ t sesame oil
- ½ t 5 spice
- Hot sauce to taste
- Combine all ingredients in a sauce pot. Heat to just combine.
- Blend or food process until smooth.
- Chill and store
Serving suggestion: mix into ground pork and serve over rice.
