Clements’ Marketplace in Manomet has created an innovative way to give back through their Community Partners Program. Nonprofits can register directly with Clements’ Marketplace, and when their members shop at the store, they save their receipts and submit them back to their chosen nonprofits. Within 30 days, Clements’ sends a check for a percentage of the total receipts.
You can find a list of participating organizations, such as the St. Bonaventure Fund for the Needy or the Second Church of Plymouth Food Pantry, at ClementsMarket.com. Since the program began in 2017, Clements’ Marketplace has given back upwards of $900,000 through their three main stores. In addition to their Manomet location, they have stores in Portsmouth and Bristol, RI, as well as Lees Market in Westport. This remarkable initiative highlights the power of community collaboration in addressing food insecurity and supporting local nonprofits.
