Rosewaters vary in intensity and can be challenging for novices, so start with a smidgen and go from there. Just for fun, freeze mint leaves or rose petals in the ice cubes.

  • 3 cups plain yogurt
  • 2 cups soda water
  • ½ teaspoon to ¼ cup rosewater (i.e., to taste)
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh mint or 1½ tablespoons dried mint
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh thyme leaves, optional
  • 3 tablespoons organic rose petals, optional
  • up to ½ teaspoon salt
  • ice cubes

Whisk together yogurt, soda water, and rosewater. Add mint and optional flavorings and a pinch of salt. Taste and adjust.

Pour over ice. Top with fresh mint and rose petals.
