Q&A with Haley
1. What is Farm & Coast Market?
Located in the heart of historic Padanaram Village in South Dartmouth, Farm & Coast Market is your go-to neighborhood café and market with a seriously local vibe. What started as a small coffee stand in 2015 has become a beloved destination. They officially opened the café and market in 2016, and by January 2025, kicked off renovations to expand the space, set to wrap up this June!
2. What makes Farm & Coast Market unique?
It’s all about local, local, local. Their produce, cheese, and pasture-raised meats are sourced from nearby farms—often delivered straight from the farmer. All meats are butchered on-site (custom cuts available!), and their in-house charcuterie game is strong: think fresh sausages, salami, pâtés, terrines, and more. Bonus? They roast whole chickens daily and even make their own ice cream in a former Friendly’s spot.
On top of that, they’ve got a mouthwatering lineup of prepared foods—from soups and sandwiches to pot pies, crab cakes, and sliced tenderloin. Their thoughtfully curated wine selection focuses on sustainable, small-batch producers, and their bakery cranks out croissants, muffins, gluten-free treats, and more daily. Morning breads come fresh from Little Moss Bakery across the street.
And if you’re hunting for cool gifts or nostalgic candy, you’ll find those too—including Farm & Coast merch.
3. What’s on the menu?
The café serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Start your day with omelets, breakfast sandwiches, or even a breakfast pizza. For lunch and dinner, expect soups, salads, burgers, bowls, ramen, and pizzas. Vegan and gluten-free options are always available, and their drink list includes cocktails, wine, beer, smoothies, and your favorite coffee drinks.

4. What else can I do at Farm & Coast Market?
Plenty! Dine in, shop the market, grab wine and baked goods to-go, or just hang out near the harbor. They also host a variety of community events like book and wine clubs, beer and cheese nights, knit n’ nosh, local speaker series, cooking classes, and more. It’s a local hub for connection as much as it is for great food.
